Village Events and activities
activities include Rainbows, Guides, Cubs & Scouts,
Effingham rugby club & Tuesday Tea, most of these
are held either at St. Lawrence Church Hall or Our Lady of Sorrows Church Hall.

Heritage weekend 2016
Methodist Chapel, Parish Church, All Saints and the
Tithe Barn were all open during the period of the 9
-11th of September. The chapel was open on the 9th,
10th from 10am till 5pm and on Sunday (11th) from 12 till
5pm. We had our normal exhibition of local history
local heroes, Methodist history and of course a bit on our
dinosaurs, fossils and meteorites for the children.
Delicious cakes etc were available as usual. A fascinating
display and the refreshments were great too!
Heritage Weekend 2017
are in hand for this years event in September, we shall be
including displays concerning Looking after Nature and the
Morning Live' Cafe Style Church
This event is on hold for the moment,
meanwhile why not go to Thank God its Sunday at St

'Tuesday Teas' are held fortnightly at 2.30pm in the Catholic Hall
everyone welcome for a cuppa and a chat. See advertising

Messy Church is held on the
second Wednesday of each Month at St. Lawrence Church hall
and organised by Churches Together. If you are interested in helping
or bringing children along please

Easter We had a
great time With Our Living Easter on Easter
Saturday when the Easter story was told around the
village. A sunny day and a great crowd of happy
folk. A real success !
